When a pair of contact lenses is weared, proteins and other residuals will gradually stay on the lenses, if it’s not properly maintained, not only will it damage your expensive novel halloween contacts, but also will cause eye discomfort and even long term eye diseases.So you need to clean the lenses, disinfect and remove protein.

A few things need to pay attention to:

1. First of all, make sure your nail is polished, so it will not scratch the lenses, before handling your lenses, also wash hands thoroughly.

2. Take lens out from one eye, for example remove from the right eye, placed it on your left palm, drop a few solutions on the surface of the lens, with the right index finger gently rub the lens surface in a circle a few times, usually we do around 10-15 times.

3. Flush your contact lenses with lens care solution to remove dirt on the lens if there is any.

4. Put the lens into lens case or bottle, add new solution – not the one left on your palm – and let the lens soak for a few hours.

Note:

1. Do not do 2 lens at the same time unless you are sure you won’t mix them , as some special effects are custom made to different degrees, so don’t mix them.

2. Make sure the lens care solution fully cover the lenses, so they won’t dry out and is fully disinfected.

3. Watch out for sharp objects , especially your nails.

4. Do not leave your special effects contacts in the same solution for over a year, especially they were “sealed” by you, not the factory, so regularly change the solution will be a good idea.

5. Generally we do not recommend you borrow those Halloween contacts from your friend/family, however since people usually wear them one and change to different style next year, if you have to do it, make sure follow the instructions of the lens and do through clean before using. And if you experience any discomfort , go see your doctor right away.
